Or: Guess what I'll be doing for the rest of today?
These are the school books plus earphones, USB drives, copy paper, pens and everything-but-the-kitchen-sink requirements for two children. Two!
And there are still several sold out books on order.
Plus there are these:
Bags plus chairs bags plus art folios.
Don't even get me started on lunch boxes, bottles and lunches!
Now, how am I going to cover and name all the feckers?
How am I going to fit all this into my little car and carry it all into school next week?
How in hell do people with more than two kids manage?
Most importantly, who else will be eating baked beans on toast for the rest of the month?
Today I'm linking up with the lovely Kim of Frogpondsrock for her regular Sunday Selection session.

Wow, there's really so much to think of isn't there! :o
Wow!!
I don't ever remember having that much stuff for school. Good luck!!
Dont even get me started.
After you have worked your fingers to the bones covering and labelling, how long will it be before the first item is lost? Aaaargh. That is a huge pile.
You have to buy tissue boxes and photocopy paper???? (at least that is what it looks like to me here in NZ!)
Don't get me started on school uniform prices - at least when we lived in Melbourne they were incredibly cheap! In NZ they can be anything from $100 - 800!!!! And not bought at Target etc.
Sadly how much at the end of the year do they bring home? Last year my youngest brought home 9 A4 books + 2 scrapbooks. Makes me wonder what he was doing all year, but must say HEAPS of photocopied papers and worksheets....so must be doing something lol..
Have a ball C & H and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY Master C for your up and coming b'day
So I've learned to buy good however early. I layout the sales pages and my kids' faculty provide lists along and take a look at to seek out the most effective spot to buy and I prepared to have back to school supplies list
Man! I don't remember having that much stuff for school. But then again, that was back in the dark ages. When we had never heard of USB sticks.
Good luck with all that. Looks like you need it. And then the poor kids have to carry it all in their rucksacks? It's a cruel world ;-)
Am with you sista. All of the way. I adopted a boot camp training techniques this afternoon so they are strong enough to carry their backpacks. Prep, scmepp! You colour it in, you carry it!! Bahahaha!!
Good luck with it all! I don't have any kids there and I'm not sure if I want any really...if I do, I think 1 is most I'm willing to have :P Everything seems so stressful!
My goodness, what a lot of stuff! I remember having a pencil box a loose leaf binder and a schoolbag, and that's about all.
Boy, does that date ME!
Boo has TWO freaking schools.
I am making a cupboard to try and organise the shit and get my head around it. I swear this is harder than when I had 3 kids in three different schools.
Its pretty expensive, I bought my kids stuff over a few weeks to try and stretch the cost. I am not looking forward to when they hit high school and i have to pay laptop fees etc.
My boys came home with half their books from last year, some suit the younger one and could be reused, but some had 4 or 5 pages used.
There is still another three weeks here in Tas before the kids go back to school.
I'm so glad I don't have to do any of that anymore.
Good luck!
That stash is for TWO kids? Sheesh. When I saw the pics I wondered if you had a football team? Crikey.
Looking at all of that, I'm thinking that my mum's old trick of giving us school supplies as Christmas-stocking stuffers was a good idea :)
She would buy things like lunchboxes, bags, pencil cases, pencils, pens, etc. while they were on End of Financial Year sale in June, store them away and then we got to boast that SANTA bought us SO. MUCH. STUFF!
Looking back now - I'm feeling a little *meh* about it. On one hand - we totally got ripped off by Santa. On the other - now I know where my love of stationery came from :)
It comes on so fast! We're flat out with orders at the moment, people are loving the range of stickers and labels. We've got a discount offer on right now, get $5 off and Free delivery when you use the code: Save5 at checkout!
Wow - is it back to school time already?!! Bet you're missing them already, despite everything! :-)
