A giant giveaway for Easter!

Did you know that Easter is one of the Skylanders' favourite holidays?
Me neither.
But I have it on good authority that this is the case, and that Easter is a great time for kiddies to catch up on their favourite Skylanders' adventures - and definitely create a few new ones. (That's after they've ran around picking up random Easter Eggs, and played healthy outdoor games with family and friends of course!)
If you're having a chocolate/lolly-free Easter, a Skylanders toy could be a good Easter present. My kids only get an egg or bunny from the Easter Bunny and one from Mum, because - A. We have to be careful what type of chocolate Chase eats because he has anaphylaxis allergies to nuts and tree nuts, and B. The kids don't eat a lot of chocolate anyway. Seriously. With the few extra they get from family and school, they're messing about with chocolate and wrappers for weeks!
So I try to get them something useful instead, like pyjamas or slippers for winter. Probably a bit boring, but it's a kind of nice custom, particularly as we're usually visiting family in the country, and they need to wear them straight away as it's chilly there.
But I digress.
The fabulous people at Skylanders are giving one lucky MIA follower a Skylanders Giants Easter survival kit to keep the kids happy and entertained throughout the long weekend.
So what does this magical kit contain? Plenty! Packed inside you’ll find:
·         Skylanders Giants game characters
·         Skylanders Giants apparel
·         Skylanders Giants chocolate eggs
·         Activities including a colouring page, puzzle maze and cut-out face mask
·         Chocolate cupcake recipe complete with Skylanders Giants cupcake toppers
The contents of the kit will look a bit like this:

(The toys may not be exactly the same ...)

What do you have to do to win it?

Simply leave a comment below on which Skylander your child would love to play with over the Easter holidays. If you leave a comment on my Facebook page, you will get an extra entry.

The competition closes at 9 am on Wednesday, 27th March, to ensure the winner has time to receive his or her survival kit in time for the holidays! So be quick ...

The winner has been drawn and is Kerry Santillo. Kerry, please contact me to claim your prize. You have been emailed as well.

Disclosure: MIA has been promised a Skylander Easter Survival Kit of her own for the kids to fight over

Have you heard of the staring comp between Headless dragon and Staring eye- ball?
Well, sit down and I'll start from the beginning and tell you it all!
Headless dragon could not stare as he had no eyes,
Staring eye-ball couldn't blink- surprise, surprise!
As a consequence the competition did not go well,
It ended in a major brawl- the story we can tell!
The 2 in the end decided not to battle at all,
And joined together to become 'Giant eye- brawl'
My nephew loves to replay this story again and again,
Typical of a little boy who is going on ten!

I think my kids must be too old for this. I have absolutely no idea who the Skylanders are.

Dark Spyro is the best for me
He is extremely rare and magical you see
Battles them hard and stands tall
When all other skylanders around him fall

OMG!! I have been searching the internet all night to find an Skylanders Easter present for a seven year old boy. I am in early stages of meeting a wonderful man with a seven year old son who is the biggest Skylander fan (I'm not sure of his favourite but from what I've seen in his bedroom he has quite the collection). I wanted to get him something special for Easter. This would be the ultimate gift for him and would show him that I'm really not the scary person he thinks I am. Please please please this would mean so much to him (and me). Happy Easter. p.s. if not chosen as the winner could you please share where I can purchase Skylander Easter Eggs.

My four year old son has been nagging me to get him some Skylanders for AGES! I've said no continuously because I really can't afford to get into another toy collection! I think they need to be played with an Xbox which we don't have either but is on the "Santa List" this year.

I would be amazing to win some for Ned so I'd love to throw my hat in the ring and cross my fingers. Might get me some peace and quiet over the long weekend!

Will no pop over to your FB page for an extra entry.

Great comp. V.

My seven year old is the most impatient child you could ever meet- on the five minute drive home from school he is always saying "but I'm starvinggggg, I need to eat now!". However, he is so desperate to own Wrecking Ball that he used $5 that he was given for his birthday in January as a wait list deposit, even though the shop assistant told him it probably wouldn't be in shops until September! Now that is impressive deferral of gratification. Of course I do have to put up with him asking every morning "Is Wrecking ball here yet?"
Heading over to facebook to leave a comment.

I have been advised that the favourite Skylander character would have to be Crusher.

Spyro sounds pretty popular. I have a 7 and 6 year old that have only just discovered Skylanders- they would be over the moon to have a pack this Easter!

Spyro is their favourite by far! I can see why though because he is such a cute little dragon.
My boys (aged 6 & 4) are huge fans of Skylanders and are constantly asking me to get them some but I just haven't had the time. They have however improvised and pretended to be the Skylanders themselves.
